Distripress
Distripress is the Association for the promotion of the international press distribution. It makes and supports international contacts – to exchange experiences with trends and difficulties in press distribution and in order to find common solutions for the distribution and marketing of publications on the international market.
At the time of its foundation in 1955 Distripress counted 16 member companies in 13 countries - today there are around 470 members in almost 100 countries.
Distripress Activities
Distripress is at the heart of the international press network. Besides the congress, which offers a market place for more than 1000 participants every year, other activities include collecting information and making it available, the administration of member contacts as well as the representation of the interests of the press industry worldwide.
Mission
Distripress is the only organization linking distributors and publishers as well as their suppliers on an international level. This network supports the promotion of the international distribution of newspapers, magazines and pocket books. With the aim of a free international press distribution, Distripress promotes business contacts, supports a fair and efficient trade and intervenes in favour of press freedom. Distripress offers its members valuable information and helps to find the right contact person for their business. With the organization of the annual congress Distripress also creates the biggest and most important market place for the international exchange in the industry.
